If you take a look at the “Supporters” page of this website, you may notice that alongside the funding One Book, One Valley receives from grants, funds are also contributed by each participating library or library Friends group. Friends and other library supporters work hard to raise money for library programs like One Book, One Valley. When you pick up your library copy of Following Atticus, be sure to thank your library’s sponsor, or better yet, consider joining your library’s Friends group–libraries can’t have too many Friends!
Kick-off week
Ed Parsons wrote a wonderful review of Following Atticus for his hiking column that appeared in this past Saturday’s Conway Daily Sun.
Some books are pleasant and just end. After some, and these are few and far between, you need to take a deep breath before moving on. You have had an experience, have shared a vital part of someone’s life. After “Following Atticus,” you need a few deep breaths.
The Following Atticus Book Launch, where you can meet both Tom and Atticus, is Tuesday, September 20 at 7 pm at the Theater in the Wood in Intervale. Ed Parsons will speak about hiking in all seasons on Wednesday, November 9 at 7 pm at the Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth.
