One Book One Valley will be at the
White Mountains Pride festival at the North Conway Community Center on June 29 from 10 am to 4 pm. Come stop at our table, where you will find friendly librarians, Free Mom Hugs, fun giveaways, books, library cards, info about library resources.
We’ll also have save-the-date info about this fall’s One Book One Valley program, when our book will be
by Amy Ellis Nutt. Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family
If you’re at the festival, stop and say “hi!” And we’ll give you a hug, and maybe a book.
We are pleased to announce that our book for 2019 will be
Becoming Nicole: the Transformation of an American Family by Amy Ellis Nutt.
Our big event featuring the author will be held in October.
Multiple copies of the book will be available to borrow at participating libraries around Labor Day.
We’re excited to explore the possibilities for community programs with this year’s title. If you have a suggestion for a program related to the book,
contact one of us!
What a great turnout! About 200 people attended the 2018 One Book One Valley finale on October 25. We raised $950 for the Mountain Rescue Service and Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue.
Thank you to Ty Gagne for a wonderful presentation, and to all of our readers from the valley and beyond.
