Announcing 2019’s book

We are pleased to announce that our book for 2019 will be Becoming Nicole: the Transformation of an American Family by Amy Ellis Nutt.

Our big event featuring the author will be held in October.

Multiple copies of the book will be available to borrow at participating libraries around Labor Day.

We’re excited to explore the possibilities for community programs with this year’s title. If you have a suggestion for a program related to the book, contact one of us!

Thank you!

What a great turnout! About 200 people attended the 2018 One Book One Valley finale on October 25.  We raised $950 for the Mountain Rescue Service and Androscoggin Valley Search and Rescue.

Thank you to Ty Gagne for a wonderful presentation, and to all of our readers from the valley and beyond.

Dine to Donate

Black Cap Grille in North Conway has generously offered to donate 10% of each participating dining party’s check on Thursday, October 25 to One Book One Valley, the same evening as Ty Gagne’s talk at Kennett High School. Serving begins at 5:00 pm, and reservations are not accepted.

If you aren’t planning on dining out, but wish to contribute to this program, donations will be gratefully accepted by the Friends of Conway Public Library, the not-for-profit 501(c)3 fiscal agent for One Book One Valley.
