Kate Braestrup, author of this year’s One Book, One Valley community read, Here If You Need Me, will be speaking this Thursday (Nov. 13th) evening at 7 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Nativity in North Conway. If you’ve read the book or not, this is your chance to see a dynamic, thoughtful, funny speaker and have a chance to ask a few questions and even buy a copy of the book and have it signed.

Last evening, the Madison Library held its book discussion of Here If You Need Me. Comments included “This is an important book,” and “I loved this book!” One reader had marked his favorite passages, even though he could not come to the discussion. One thing that was clearly evident in both Kate Braestrup’s book and at the presentation by NH Fish and Game officers earlier in the month is that the people in the Warden Service or Fish & Game really love their jobs.
