Thank you, everyone! About 120 readers came to North Conway last night for the Big Event. Lisa Gardner gave a wonderful talk, and answered a variety of really good questions from the audience. She described the lengths she’ll go to get the details in her books right (Body Farm, anyone?), her writing process, tips for aspiring authors, and why popular writers have PO boxes. Then she took time to sign copies of her books (see photo). If you missed out, Valley Vision recorded the event, look for it on channel 3.

Lisa Gardner very generously donated her speaker’s fee to Children Unlimited.

Readers from across the Mount Washington Valley will gather on Thursday, October 25 at 7 pm at the Lutheran Church of the Nativity in North Conway Village. Lisa Gardner, author of this year’s 1 Book 1 Valley selection, “Love You More,” will speak about her book, her writing, research, and more. All are welcome at this free event, whether or not they have read the book ahead of time.

White Birch Books will have copies of Love You More and other books by Lisa Gardner available for sale and signing after the program.

There is still time to attend a book discussion at a local library before Thursday’s big event: Monday at 7 pm in Madison, Tuesday at 12:30 pm in Effingham, and Wednesday at 5:00 pm in Jackson.
