One Book One Valley will be back in 2021! Mark your calendars for our big author event: Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:00 PM at the newly renovated Majestic Theatre in Conway Village. We’ll also be livestreaming the event, which is very exciting. Participating libraries will have copies of Paul Doiron’s newest book, Dead by Dawn to lend by the beginning of July, and will be happy to lend any of his previous books if you’re just getting started or catching up with the Mike Bowditch series. Reading is not on hold
For the first time in 15 years, this week will not bring us together for One Book One Valley’s annual meet-the-author big event. Over the years, we have heard from many readers that this community coming-together event is the reason they participate.
Early on in the pandemic, our committee agreed that holding an online event instead would just not be the same. So, we asked the author scheduled for 2020, Paul Doiron, if he would come in 2021. He said yes.
So, the good news is there’s a whole series of novels to read! And you have a year to read them! Doiron writes the Warden Investigator Mike Bowditch series of mystery novels set in Maine. There are eleven novels in the series so far. Check them out, read them, and plan to join us in October 2021.
