Time to start reading! Multiple copies of this year’s book, Go with Me, will be available to borrow at your library the week of September 13. White Birch Books also has copies for sale. Publicity about One Book, One Valley events will start showing up in the newspapers and on WMWV radio, and posted on bulletin boards around the valley. This year’s author and book have been chosen, but we’d like to keep you in suspense a bit longer while we iron out the details and begin to plan programs and events.
But, we will give a hint: 2010’s book is a crime novel. One look at weekly bestseller lists shows that crime novels are one of the most read genres of fiction. Why? Escapism, fascination with the forbidden, resonance of good vs. evil theme? Let’s read and talk about it together this fall.
