Monday at 7 pm: Thriller, Suspense, Horror, True Crime: Reading Scary Stories, at the Conway Public Library. NH writer Richard Adams Carey will speak about writing and reading stories that both frighten and fascinate us. Carey’s current project is a work-in-progress entitled Their Town, a book about the murders of four people in Colebrook in 1997 at the hands of Carl Drega. Tamworth resident, and County Attorney candidate Robin Gordon, will speak along with Melissa Smith, the Carroll County victim/witness advocate, and Tamworth’s own Sgt Penny Colby, named in Gardner’s book as a resource.
